What is an Internet Remote Base?

" A regular ham station that is controllable via the Internet."

This is NOT Echolink or IRLP. The Internet combined with special software create a "long microphone cord" between the control operator's computer  and the remote ham station located across  the room, across the town or across the world.  The IRB supports HF, VHF, UHF, or satellite communications  and includes full control of the radio, antennas including the rotator, and the amplifier.
